We’re Part Of The Neighborhood
When searching for the right location right in the neighborhood, we had two criteria: convenient to city life but with a neighborly community connection. We feel we found the perfect spot. You don’t need to drive far from your current home to afford living in your own community.
Area Of Service
Tucked away in the historic Susquehanna Township, Ecumenical Retirement Community is minutes from popular shopping and entertainment destinations, places of worship and medical centers, while feeling miles from commercial interruptions. Our area of service supports mostly the East Shore though we welcome any newcomers to the vicinity.
If you are familiar with the area of service, Ecumenical’s campus is just three blocks south of the Union Deposit-Progress Avenue intersection and close to I-83. We’re across from Harrisburg Gardens, off Harwood Street.
Speaking of gardens, another reason we selected our campus location is for the lush floral and plant life on our grounds including milkweed, New Jersey Tea, purple coneflower, blanketflower, Shasta daisies and trumpet honeysuckle. Thanks to the green thumbs of residents and co-workers, our gardens thrive and invite other neighbors such as Monarch butterflies, song birds, cardinals, finches, deer, fox and rabbits.
In fact our Butterfly Patch is an official certified Monarch Waystation trough the non-profit Monarch Waystation Registry. Ecumenical is helping conserve the Monarch butterfly population through cultivating our milkweed plants. For more details on the Waystation, click here.
You’re Always Welcome, Neighbor
We’re proud of our community and even prouder that our residents and co-workers contribute to its beauty and comforts. We’d love the opportunity to show you around whether you’re in the neighborhood or not—you’re always welcome. Contact us today to schedule a tour for any day of the week.
