It’s A Privilege To Support Seniors in Harrisburg
For over 20 years Ecumenical has been supporting seniors in the Harrisburg area, and we look forward to continue serving them for many more years to come.
As one of the top senior living communities in Central Pennsylvania, we are much more than what some call a “nursing home.” We offer more than levels of care. We provide retirement living with a purpose. Our community was founded by the late Governor George M. Leader and his family who instilled their purposeful living into Ecumenical’s programs and quality of care. We support and encourage our residents to enrich the lives of others with their time and talents through community outreach. Their contributions are inspiring and truly are making a difference.
Starts With A Strong Foundation
Like any family, our community is built upon a history of love and care for past, current and future residents and led by individuals who help ensure our history will always be our present and future.
Satisfaction Is Our Success
Resident and family compliments are our highest level of success. Setting out to make a difference in someone’s day and then achieving it are how we know we are doing something right. Read praise from residents and their families.
In The Neighborhood
Our location is in the best of both worlds: nestled in a neighborhood in historic Susquehanna Township to make you feel even more at home and only three blocks south of Union Deposit-Progress Avenue intersection, minutes from Harrisburg Gardens and I-83 to keep you connected to favorite shopping and entertainment destinations.
Affording Quality, Individualized Care
Most people assume all senior living communities are nursing homes. That is not the case as nursing homes support one level of care: 24-hour skilled nursing, which typically is very expensive given the intensity of care. As a senior living community, Ecumenical offers a variety of services dependent upon our residents’ preferences and needs. By focusing on these individual services ranging from independent living to early- to late-stage memory care, we are able to provide affordable plans. And if needed, we've identified financial resources to help make quality retirement living even more affordable.
